I'll be going MIA for a month or more

So I said when I started this journal that I wouldn't be using it as a blog, just as a place for my stories but I figure its easier to post a little update about my life and its drama here than try and explain it all via emails.

So I was going to delete my ff.net account because of a huge blow up with the husband. He thinks fanfiction is a waste of time and that my interest in it is making me neglect my house and children. *coughbullshitcough*  I'm a pretty non-confrontational person though and so I was ready to give up writing to avoid fighting. But then as I sat eating dinner alone with my kids for the third time in a week because my husband was too busy playing WoW to leave his desk and join us, I decided I'd had enough. I told him, well lets just say what I told him wasn't exactly lady like. :P And I decided to keep my accounts and to keep writing.

For those that don't know but are interested, my husband is in the air force and we're currently living overseas because of that. :) Now things in the air force, from my experience, happen one of two way, either they tell you something is going to happen and then drag it out forever and a day or they tell you something is going to happen and they want it done yesterday. Our current drama is a little of both.

Well, they told us months ago that the housing area that we're in currently is going to be closed and that we'd be moved into new housing before the end of the year. They told us yesterday that they'd found a house for us, we went and looked at it about an hour after that and decided it would suit and told them we'd take it.  This is the part where they drew things out forever, all of the houses around our current house have been empty for months, its like living in a ghost town, no lie.

They called us today and told us they'd be by tomorrow to do the pre-inspection of the house we're in now. Which means that they'll be here tomorrow at 9am to check the general cleanliness and repair of the house and tell us what needs to be done to pass final inspection. Final inspection is a study of anal retentiveness. They want the stove so clean it looks like it was just delivered from the factory, they want the rubber seal on the fridge door spotless. I've got three kids, getting the house ready for final inspection will be a nightmare. I'm trying to talk my husband into hiring someone to come in to clean the house (there are services that guarantee you'll pass inspection the first time) so that we'll have one less thing to worry about but it would cost about $300-$400 and he's a bit of a tightwad. I personally think its worth it since we're in a 4 bedroom, three bathroom house and I'll be the one doing most of the work but he controls the check book and I'm, as previously stated, non confrontational.

Anyway,  we'll get the keys to the new house on Wednesday, Thursday they come and box up all of our stuff and take it away, they deliver it to the new house on Friday and by the next Wednesday we having to have the old house ready for final inspection. Sound like fun so far? Ha. Unlike in the states, apparently moving house means that your telephone, internet, and cable services all need to be transfered but it can't be done quickly. From what BT told my husband, it will be a month or so before they can install a land line for us, which means no cable, internet, or telephone service for a month plus however long it takes Sky to get off its butt and connect us. >.< I'd like to finish Deepening Shadows but I might go insane and be committed before I have the chance.

I do have the next chapter mostly finished and I want to post it here and on ff.net before I lose internet, we'll see how that goes.

Fun times, fun times.
